Welcome to the website of the Academy of Marketing, a Learned Society catering for the needs of marketing researchers, educators and professionals.

The organisation's primary purpose is the advancement of Marketing knowledge as a rounded discipline and profession.

Membership is open to those individuals whose employment is, or has been, directly connected with the objectives of the Academy. Use the Membership link on the menu to find out more about the criteria for membership, use of designatory letters, and how to apply for membership. You can also find out about the benefits of membership which include a hard copy newsletter, a regular enewsletter, access to the Research and Education Awards, information about the Annual Conference and Doctoral Colloquium, information about Regional and Special Interest Groups and their events, free online access to The Marketing Review journal, and other discounted journals and books.

The Academy of Marketing also holds an Annual Conference and Doctoral Colloquium. The 2009 event is being hosted by Leeds Metropolitan University from 7-9 July 2009 - 'Putting Marketing in (its) Place’'. The Conference website is at www.am2009.org

The Academy Research Sub-Committee (AMRC) works to enhance the profile of research in marketing and to develop the research in marketing infrastructure, and holds an annual round of Research Awards

The Education Sub-Committee works to develop the understanding of education issues and to help shape educational policy and practice in marketing.

The Academy has 18 Special Interest Groups, and 8 Regions. These groups organise events for their members, including workshops and seminars.
